First, a little background from ABC's "The Note."

"Family Circle's quadrennial cookie election, this year pitting Laura Bush's "Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies" against Teresa Heinz Kerry's "Pumpkin Spice Cookies," has correctly predicted the winner in the last three presidential elections."

Get to it, DU! Pumpkin spice for EVERYONE! :bounce:

Also, there are no publicly-available current vote counts (where's Bev Harris when you need her?). So just vote and hope for the best- internet voting closes on August 1st. Results will be announced October 19th.

P.S. Personally, I think Teresa's decision not to go with chocolate is a bold, yet risky strategy. Once again, she refuses to pander to the common denominator. :-)
