38. If you "dare" say "What??? I don't think McCain should be
MENTIONED by Democrats as a serious consideration to be Kerry's running mate," people here go nana banana calling the questioner dumb for not understanding the nuances of A BRILLIANT political move by Kerry.
I do not consider this a brilliant political move. But since I have decided to vote for Kerry as a WBWCDB (Warm Body Who can Defeat Bush) I am not going to QUESTION this issue here in DU anymore. It is not worth my breath or DU's thread space.
But Kerry must be careful. "Appealing" to the middle might backfire, alienate his base, and provide more ammunition for the RW to say there aren't enough good Democrats so Kerry has to pander to the RW to be able to get a decent running mate.
And trying to create even the impression of a ticket that seems designed to represent a different party (RightMiddle Party?) as a single party in America... well we already have a push for a single party, the RW party.
AGAIN, my vote is not in contest. I WILL VOTE FOR WBWCDB.

But just HYPOTHETICALLY if Kerry had been serious, Kerry/McCain were elected by a "bi-partisan" landslide, Kerry croaks for some reason, do we end up having elected a REPUG????
