Is the Circus Over? Is It Safe to Come Back to the Dem Underground??

Haven't come to DU in several days because things are at the "cosmic" joke level. One cannot turn on a tv without having a shovel at their side to get through the massive amount of accumulating dung!!!

Bush, from the WWII memorial dedication through the D-Day events, is trying to compare his pathetic little, self inflicted, Iraq War with the massive World (with a CAPITAL W) War II!!---that's like whining that the boo-boo on your finger is akin to someone having pieces of their body removed because of cancer! And he's trying to give the impression that he (da' war president----give me a break) is akin to the likes of Churchill and FDR (they wouldn't have let that baboon pour their evening drinks for them).

And then comes dead St. Ronnie. Ron was the prototype of GWB---a piece of brainless fluff put into place by the powerful to "play a part". Well at least Ronne had acting lessons and could sound presidential (unless he was caught off guard). This clown can't fake his way through with a prepared speech. Ronnie is not the cause of things they like to heap on him-----the USSR fell because it spent everything it had on war weapons (sound familiar??--maybe, Putin can claim he defeated us once we spend ourselves into George's war oblivion)!

And now, I see Papa Bush is going to be stumping around yacking about "my best friend, Ronnie". The Reagans loathed the Bushes. He never wanted him for VP but apparently Papa Bush had something on Ron. The Reagans snubbed them publicly. At W's convention, Nancy refused to attend until suddenly on the day of the acceptance speech it was revealed she changed her mind. She was introduced and waived. Two minutes into the speech when the cameras panned back to the area, she was gone----little (I like the things money can buy) Nancy was paid real good by the Repukes for that endorsement of the Chimp!

My only relief is that in about 10 days the Repukes have blown their wad. No more WWII glory (I mean it's the 60th----we already had the 50th, etc. and it's getting old). And no chance of digging Ron up and parading him around again. And plenty of time left until November. I'm waiting until I can safely return my shovel to the basement...............
