And they are the likeliest

1) Bush is not even president anymore, having resigned in disgrace following further WMD and 9/11 revelations.

2) Bush consolidates his rule within the elites, gaining legitimation as an emperor. The election is entirely fixed, you can throw away the ballot (touch screen).

I consider 1 far likelier.

In a fair election, I have little doubt: Bush loses in a landslide. Note I say "Bush loses." This will be about Bush Co., not "Dems."

It's next to irrelevant whether the nominee is Dean or Kerry. People will accept or reject the last four years, which for most people obviously are THE most memorable in memory.
