The investigation stalls at the gates of Fort Detrick, the FBI orders the destruction of the Ames strain archives, top Dem critics of Patriot Act targetted with a quality of a trillion parts per gram, the CIA had studied sending anthrax through the mail, etc, ad nauseum...

I too think the next "attack" will be bio-chem in nature. It raises the terror stakes, and I believe the US media and public would be more likely to give Bush a pass for failing to have prevented it than they would for another 9/11.
