14. I have to agree--this is Rove's doing

There is hope. The Republicans started the travesty in California, and it is a slap in the face to democracy. That, along with DeLay's travesty in Texas might just unite people against the Republican party in 2004. I'm seriously envying the Parlimentary system right now. I used to jump on people who said that people should earn their right to vote. I think our founders had the right idea. I'm convinced that most Americans are just too ignorant or apathetic and haven't earned the right to democratically elect their representatives. It's not a game or a circus. I cherish my right to vote, and people are pissing it away.

On edit: Oops! Got way off the track. We should NEVER give up until the neo-con stench is removed from power in this country. That attitude isn't going to get us anywhere. We've had crappy leaders before (not this bad, though), and we've booted them. Americans will wake up--hopefully by 2004. Bush will never win the presidency in a fair election. They are going to try and steal it again, but they won't suceed this time.
