do you have any facts or links on that? my best friend, who happens to be very intelligent and an animal rights activist, supports the repugs. she is not a ditto head, is a voracious reader and in most ways is a free thinker but she was molested as a child. she also, as is often the case in these survivors, ended up marrying an alcholic mental abuser (and major prick) who naturally is right wing and they live in a rural small town. i have been working on her but any evidence as to what you espoused here may do the trick.
