But one of my friends was talking about somebody discussing this issue. They were interviewing someone about it (or something, I am butchering the scenario).

Anyway, the point is, when the "request" was mentioned, the question was asked in the interview "is there a standard form that a soldier can fill out for this" and the answer was just "no".

Maybe that would have been funny if I remembered who was involved, or the context...
