3. Yes, it seems hard to believe the individual politicians would want themselve voted out..
However, if these same people were landing cushy corporate jobs, or lobbyist position, or some other back-room financially beneficial deal, then perhaps that is a possibility.

I am concerned that they have successfully framed Obama's plan as a socialist vision, when it is exactly the opposite.

I do not believe the Senate bill should be passed without FIRST passing the expanded Medicare provision, or similar. (As well as allowing drug re-importation/bulk purchasing - and killing the mandate, if possible).

Pass the fixes, then pass the bill is the only way I trust them.
