1. This is a natural occurance somewhat related to Imperial Amerika's
rejection of the Principles of Democracy in favor of BushPutinist "values".

I imagine there are MANY old South American dictators and Secret Police Guys in retirement who are kicking themselves, "I can't BELIEVE we let Amerika force us out of our dictatorial power! Those lying asshole hypocrites believe in dictatorial unchecked power as much as we do, then they resort to Stalinist Lies that are the opposite of what they really are and believe!

"Get me the old Secret Police Head of Torture! Tell him I want him to come out of retirement!"

I have absolutely no doubt this kind of thinking is now pervasive, and Putin was amongst the first to act on these feelings.

Others undoubtedly will follow.

This makes perfect sense as the only ones now keepingthe flickering candle of Liberty alive are Europe and a handful of other nations, such as japan and S. Africa.

The question is, will freedom and Liberty survive the oncoming Age of Totalitarianiams, of BushPutinism.

It sure didn't survive in Imperial Amerika, though things are still such that our daily lives allow us to live in denial of that fact if we wish.
