2. you can't win an argument by crying "hypocrisy"
you can't win the battle.

you have to thoroughly discredit the entire hypocritical voice to win the war.

the right wing simply uses any convenient argument. they will happily argue either side of the state's rights debate or the pro-/anti-government rift, or the deficits good/bad issue, all depending on which side happens to benefit them when it comes to the topic at hand.

consequently, they keep winning, because they always seem to have a good argument.

crying hypocrisy is an effective argument for the well-informed, but it's a tough sell for the masses.

to win the war, we must thoroghly discredit the reich wing by dismissing EVERYTHING they say. we must call them propagandists and hypocrites EVERY SINGLE TIME they make a statement.

if you ever find yourself "debating" one of the many right-wing pundits on tv., simply turn to the moderator and ask, "why do you even invite these guys? i can tell you right now what he's going to say, because he's going to say exactly the same thing rush said and exactly the same thing the they say every time. your audience learns nothing by having him on. your audience only see, once again, that the right wing will say absolutely anything in order to pretend to have a justification for whatever the latest organized talking point is. you're insulting your audience by making them hear that tired old story one more time."
