So it should be no surprise that Fox is suing humorist Al Franken, claiming his new book, Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right (Penguin), infringes on its trademark line "fair and balanced.'' The lawsuit is a deplorable, humorless misstep that will inevitably promote, not silence, the book.--
