Otherwise do you really believe the iraqi govt had a precise inventory of all of it's 155mm rounds leftover from the iran/iraq war, and so therefore destroyed them all?

A rebel found an artillery shell, for all we know it was on his dad's mantle as a souveneir. He rigs it as an IED, not realizing it carried a sarin payload.

I don't see how this is outside the realm of rational possibilities.
