Robots are only useful if maintained and operated correctly. That means people: trained, productive, healthy and well-paid people, from those that extract the raw materials, to the fabricators, assemblers, testers, and repair techs, to the programmers and designers and the professors that teach them, the people who do their laundry, cut the grass, stock the grocery store shelves...It's the whole freaking Circle of Life, People!

Robots are not self-sustaining and self-replicating. People are. Robots cannot adapt or design solutions.

And geeks don't work for free. Nor do they spontaneously generate. That is the true threat of Anonymous. That is what keeps the Would-Be-Masters-of-the-World up nights. The geeks will cut their throats in the middle of the night, without the slightest compunction, and without a murmur of protest from the Masses, who will truly never miss them.

And then the lion will lie down with the lamb. But the lion will be dead, and the lamb will not.
