8. That's something I just don't get. Both regionally and racially- big sports.
I don't see how people identify with a team drawn from all over the country. I cheer my local high school, because they are my local kids. I don't give a rat's ass about the Tampa Buccaneers; because I don't live in Tampa, because the team has no real connection to this area, and because I think football is stupid.

But the race thing in sports really cracks me up. Seeing white people gush over black sports stars, and then get back in their cars and head home to neighborhoods which would be considered iffy if the black population was even half the percentage on a football team. I must be missing some aspect of this which makes it understandable.
