Someone last night in the original thread brought up an insect that if not vaccinated against can cause quick death like this.

Could have been unintentional. All we know is that a crapload of horses dropped dead. People who jump to conclusions like "it was a chavez hater/supporter" are way out of line, at least until there is even a shred of evidence.
