I wish I had a dime for every announce and date of the switch I have heard as well as the innumerable local announcements and local numbers to call for information or help. It's the old "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". Even if it was 10 years some people won't be ready. Even if I had to spend a whole $40 or $50 it would be worth it for the better pictures as well as double the channels. The good news is that almost all of my channels will switch on February 17 because in this economy they cannot afford to keep paying thousands of dollars a month to broadcast both an analog and digital signals. In 2 weeks, time's up--they will switch.
