And anyway, resetting all records back to 0 could scarcely be any worse than wading through the mess that is already there. I'm sorry, I don't buy the line about bailing out irreponsible and criminal financial behemoths anymore. Actually, I never did. If the banks fall tomorrow, it won't be any worse than throwing billions/trillions into their black holes of nonliquidity and waiting for them to get swallowed up by another flailing beast or fall anyway. Best to just slaughter them NOW and try to salvage something.
