...back in the 1930s, Winston Churchill was a back bencher, banished because he railed against the looming threat of Hitler and Nazism. The civil servant class, who on a day-to-day basis monitored the rise of Germany's fascists knew what was coming and began to feed Churchill the information that he needed to wake Great Britain from its negligent slumber. Fortunately, and in the nick of time, The Last Lion was proven right, was elevated to PM, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now flip to present day. The civil servants of the U.S. government know what's happening. Some, such as the Congressional police force, have probably lost a husband, son, brother, wife, daughter, sister, mother or father to Motherfucker George Bush and Shitstain Shoots-Guy-In-Face's war and are quietly and tacitly allowing the protesters closer and closer to them and their familiars (such as Condomleeze Rhymes-With-Qunt). It will interesting to see if a protester gets near the Jerkoff Duo in the near future. I have no doubt that the Secret Service will do their job, but it's the picture and the perception that count.
