Why? It's convoluted, yet simple.

Loyal Bushie Dogma teaches that Hitler and the Nazis were Left-Wingers, against the words of the Nazis themselves, the people of the day, and the judgement of history.

For Hannity or O'Reichley to even BROACH this topic because it touches on the BIG BUSHIE LIE that Nazis are Left-Wingers. So odious is that lie, the multi-billion dollar Bush-Party Sub-Media and Lie Laundry to this day has trouble with directly addressing the topic, in any context where the surrounding relevant history makes that Propaganda Position Absurd.

As it would in the context of trying to understand Russian Nazis who are, by definition, LEFT-Wingers and therefore...generally aligned with Putin?

From there, the whole premise breaks up.

Therefore, since the story can't be used to malign liberals, and doubly-so because it shows a weakness in their Propganda Facade (which may impel their unquestioning cult members to awaken and start questioning if their dogma runs into such an obvious brick wall), it will receive the customary Loyal Bushie Treatment for Unpleasant Facts.
