172. This is just wrong - We need to Destroy America
After having not posted for a long time (but still lurking) this has got to me to post again.

As one of the few high schoolers who post here, I want to say, that I REALLY hope, that when I'm 20, Bush, or another family member, isn't in the official position of what was known as the presidency. This is just wrong. Ten years from now I don't want to have to watch what I say or do, and be arrested because of one small flick of the eye which indicated I was against the government. The more and more I read, what was the just government of the United States of America, has become the Clearly Politically Divided Regions of a Landmass in a fascist state.

I've always wanted to do a small experiment, and take 1000 Republicans and 1000 Democrats, give them a 100 sq mile area, and actually make it another country. They have to make a government, and survive the longest. I always thought it would be interesting to see how completely different the results were.

The more news headlines I see with "Bush" in the title are sending off the little beeping noise in your head, that says "You need to do something. This isn't right." Looking at history, all fascist nations have ended up being destroyed internally, many times because of the large dissenting factions. I'm just going to say this. Maybe the only way, to actually change The United States of America, and bring justice, happiness and life to the landmass we call North America, is to completely abolish, and change it ourselves.

Perhaps I'm just a radical high schooler looking for change. But 40 years ago, high schoolers were taking action. Entertainment rallied in support of change. Constant protests to raise awareness of how large a base there was for change. Many of the things going on now, happened then. The only difference is that now, in the age in which technology reigns, it seems logic has died. Even though it's easier to gather support and work for change, people don't.

Even the side that stands for justice, the people, and protecting their rights, the Democratic Party, is sitting back, twiddling their fingers, while a tyrant gains control of the country. Representatives, Senators, and the President are all ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE. If THE PEOPLE don't feel the same way as their "elected" officials, then something really is wrong.

As many have already mentioned, few media outlets will cover this. Too many people care about how Paris Hilton feels about jail, or are curious if that one guy is a fit father for Anna Nicole's baby.

It's time for change. Massive change. If Bush is still President when I turn 20, I will know your generation has failed us.

It's time for change. Now. For the next generation, which desperately needs your help.
