1. Honestly, I ain't sorry.
If the Taliban are going to seize control again, I want ALL the art out of the country. If the Afghan people can't see their art and their history at home, at least it will survive somewhere with a chance of coming home again someday.

I remember seeing a TV newsmagazine story of the courageous curators and museum staff who hid what art they could and painted over what they couldn't. But now the Taliban will know about that, so none of the art is safe in Afghanistan.

I truly hate them for blowing up those buddhas. Among other excellent reasons.
