11. What happens when illegal drug money is seized, does the criminal
...have the choice to funnel that money to his or her favorite charity? Same with illegal political contributions. That money should not go back to the contributors, nor should the politician be able to give those monies to some charity. It should be seized by the government (perhaps the IRS) to pay down the national debt. The politician should be fined for accepting the money and the contributor should have to pay both the income taxes on that contribution plus a fine. That would curb 99.9% of all illegal political contributions. End of story.
