123. I agree. The ban is absurd.
Although I thought 9/11 would save Amtrak. It did for about two weeks.

I think this ban is absurd. It is a victory for the terrorists. I believe the plot was serious and real. But I think an announcement of the arrests coupled with a call for vigilance and calm would've been sufficient. Let the millions of travelers go on with their lives.

Would continue allowing liquids on board increase my risk of being blown up? Perhaps a minuscule bit. But this makes flying, which is already close to intolerable, even less attractive.

My chances of being killed by a drunk driver are a lot higher than being blown out of the sky by a terrorist water bomb. There is no cry to ban all liquor. That would save a lot more lives than this fiasco will.
