11. The week following the preview of this film, I got word that a man
I worked with in the 1950s had a massive stroke and was near death. He passed away right after the New Year started. It's the first time someone I knew for decades and had a big "crush" on -- has died. I'm 66 years old, he was almost 81 at the time of his death. I hope he didn't suffer. Makes the movie all the more poignant for those of us who have a racked up a few years. Photo of the two of us in the 1950s. RIP, Skipper.
