He made $20,000/month as a consultant to Microsoft. He was hired by Enron (Karl Rove says he is a BIG fan of Reed's and put in a good word for him) in 1997. He worked intermittently, making between $10,000 and $20,000/month until Enron's collapse. He's supposed to have been tied to Bush since 1997 and was picked as the Southeast Coordinator for Bush's reelection campaign.
