62. I am absolutely shocked at your response.
If, as you say, you are black, I find it shocking that you cannot understand that this is about race. They did not care because most of the population was black, poor, and voted Democrat. They did not care that blacks suffered and the poor whites among the black were just collateral damage. If you don't know this is about race you are among the very few who don't know. Even European newspapers, and others around the world are recognizing the racial aspect. Why would you not think that Bush doesn't care. Even today he is attempting the pack the courts with judges who are known to be hostile to civil rights. He did not even know there were blacks in Brazil, wouldn't meet with the NAACP and other black leaders, has destroyed the Civil Rights Commission by appointing right wingers. He has even cut back on Section 8 grant and plans massive cuts in Medicaid, something that poor blacks and others must rely on.I just find your response rather shocking coming as you say, from an African American.
