31. I remember a story from early in the Afghani conflict
Where two captured prisoners were dead, shot in the head with their hands tied behind their backs after apparently being interrogated by unspecified Americans. This story went nowhere because nobody cared. Too soon after 911 and Dersherwitz' public advocacy for torture.

Now people are beginning to appreciate the nature of reprisals and retribution. "Good order and discipline" and "acts tending to bring discredit upon the Armed Forces of the United States" are more than just verbiage.

I believe that it was Fisk who reported stories that Americans were seen joking around with and defiling Iraqi corpses after combat before the incident which resulted in the deaths of the four mercenaries in Fallujah and the abuse of their remains.

Every single one of reports like those needs to be investigated and if warranted prosecuted. If you can't or won't do it, you are not entitled to assume authority over anyone.

Private security forces are not subject to military or any other lawful authority and shouldn't be used at all.
