71. The more people there are, the more people are likely to think that someone has already taken care
--of it. There are actually studies on this. A single person seeing someone on a sidewalk almost always stops to help. Start adding more people, and the more likely it is they will all stand around thinking that one of those other people is surely more qualified to deal with it than they are.

Lesson--never assume that just because a lot of people are witnessing an accident that someone has called it in. Do it anyway.
