Reply #42: Clerks are trained to not touch dead bodies

Because...well, you know, the body may not have been quite dead yet, and if a clerk moves a body the family is going to blame the death on that clerk.

You're supposed to call your manager, have the manager call 9/11 and keep the body from being trod on...which, as we can see, didn't happen in this case.

Then again...as thinly as stores staff these days, there being a clerk in the same area as the corpse was far from certain.
