Reply #20: I haven't seen one particularly good movie on 9/11, Afghanistan, or Iraq

The Green Zone(was that the name - the Matt Damon flick?) was OK, but that was about the only one I remember.

I didn't see the Hurt Locker. Heard mixed reviews. Maybe I'll catch it some time. I've just felt bored watching fictional stories surrounding ongoing events. I'd prefer just catching a news article on it.

It's funny, because I often like historical fiction and/or movies based on historical events, but then again those are mostly before my time ("All the Presidents Men, "Apocalypse Now", and other Vietnam war movies come to mind). I also liked "Charlie Wilson's War" but that was more about the congressman and the Afghan/Russian war so I don't think that counts.
