Taxes owed are a function of 2 numbers: tax rates AND taxable income (income less deductions). The bigger issue is tax DEDUCTIONS. You can increase the rate to 100% and if they end up with $10,000 taxable income on $500,000 in adjusted gross income, they still pay shit.
