into what you read here at DU. There is a class within the top 1 percent who own most of the non-home wealth and control most of the productive assets and who, as a class, wage economic war on the bottom 90 percent. This is not "evil" (a theological category) but a fact of life those of us in the 90 percent cannot afford to deny. No doubt there are many good people among the rich -- so what? Economy and policy are run according to an ideology that gives everything to them (good or bad) and leaves the majority in debt, wage slavery or poverty, without assets or control. The good deeds of some of the rich don't count against the fundamental injustice and exploitation of the system.
