He kept saying forcing a restaurant to allow blacks in, is the same as forcing them to allow people to carry guns in restaurants.

Now that'd be OK if blacks were sticks, knives, or baseball bats, instead of real human beings. But he was, in effect, comparing black people, real humans, to guns, inanimate objects, to make his point.

Seems like that was a pretty huge problem with his argument, one that Rachel didn't seem to pick up on quickly enough. I understand what he was trying to do, I just don't approve of reducing black people, to inanimate objects.
