and everybody w/o a brain (hint: the case facts were WEAK as fuck from the beginning). they bent over backwards to COOPERATE with the police and prosecutors (another strong sign of innocence), etc. etc.
and in websites like feministing, and yes DU, their case was looked at with the assumption they MUST be guilty
it pushed all the right buttons
