WJLA (ABC7 Washington, D.C.)ARLINGTON, Va. - The Pentagon City Metro station is closed because of a suspicious package and bomb threat at the station in Arlington.
Metro spokeswoman Cathy Asato says Metro Transit Police are investigating the incident. It started about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Trains are turning around on either side of Pentagon City on the blue and yellow lines. Metro is working to set up shuttle bus service between L'Enfant Plaza and Crystal City and between Arlington Cemetery and Crystal City. Shuttle service may not be running for some time, though.
Asato says Metro is already busy with large crowds at the cherry blossom festival and for a Washington Nationals game, so riders should expect some delays.
