Reply #193: I disagree, and I'm currently in the military and grew up in an Army family

I'm an Army brat, and currently an Air Force officer. Growing up in a military family, and then being in the military, does not make you "mean" and keep you "angry".

I went through Army basic training, Army Warrant Officer Candidate School, and then Air Force Officer Training School. I do not have PTSD. Anyone who claims that would probably break down and get PTSD if they had a boss in any civilian job hurt their feelings. Please...that's a bunch of BS.

I've known many military families very well all my life. I've only known one instance where the father was abusive, and honestly, he would have probably been abusive regardless of his career choice. Most of my friends grew up normal lives, and were not abused or neglected. In fact, other than my parents divorcing when I was in high school, my childhood was pretty great.

My two sons aren't abused or neglected either. They are growing up just fine.
