I'd rather have them fail.

In my opinion we are not really getting anything systemically fixed and without systemic fixes the coming problems (inevitable in my view) are going to make what Bush left behind look small. We are still reinflating bubbles--we are not doing anything about the wholesale private redistribution of wealth toward the top several percent that is leaving everyone else barely hanging on.

In that case I would rather have the Republicans be in there. At least they would be running things on their word and when the failure hits it will be real obvious that the ideas they preached were carried out and it was the ideas that were responsible. What's the point in taking the blame as Dems if we're going to run things as if we were Republicans?
