Her problem was she had no ads while he was introducing himself to the electorate - she basically disappeared from the public scene for several weeks. Once she got a clues she came out with a barrage of negative ads - the first impression she gave many voters was one of panic.

Brown hit on the Democrats weakness - health care. He understood that it was not their number one priority - it started and ended with jobs.
