157. It was never there to begin with.
everything was given away to appease the repukes. HCR wasn't reform at all, it was a tissue paper of a bill that would amount to a give away to the health insurance corps.

No public option, no single payer, no buy in to medicare, no drug competition, everyone is not covered, preexisting conditions are still not covered.

We got mandates with a freaking rebate. What the hell is that?

The reason why it never got off the ground was because it was framed as health care reform and not health insurance reform.

The entire nation would have gotten behind that.

But the powers that be, who are bought and sold via the health insurance corps, knew they couldn't phrase it that way without getting wrath from the corps. So instead, we the people were lead down this bullshit path of lies.

And if you honestly try to tell me that "this is the first step" bs, I will tell you this, whatever gets passed, the first repuke in office will dismantle it or turn it into a further give away to the health corps. Even when Social Security was passed, even some repukes back then knew its value. we have nothing of that like today. They are all against it. period.
This sham of a bill is the first step to nothing.

Unless Obama starts paying attention to the left, the ones that got him elected, we are not going to bother anymore.
