226. Stop the bad karma
Remember all, while you are all "dancing on the grave", Nature abhors a vacuum. There will come another crackpot to fill the void that has been created by Jesse Helms, Jerry Falwell, and all the rest. The other thing to remember is that these people make a lot of noise, but are only influential to the minority 20%. People like that are "famous for being famous". Their effect on public policy is minimal.
Don't bring the bad karma onto yourselves. If you have any kind of religious persuasion, he will have to stand before someone/thing and justify his actions. That should be enough. And also remember that for all of you in here that are willing to go on record as saying that he was a waste of cosmic space, there are people that will go on record as saying that he will be missed. He held onto that Senate seat somehow, and it was because the majority of people in North Carolina... probably voted on name recognition.
