The worst part of this news is that 35 years ago we had a very real awareness of the environmental/ecological problems being caused by mankind. Back then there was some hope that these problems would be addressed in a progressive way but just the opposite happened. This is the part of growing older that really sucks. You see the consequences past actions (or inactions).
