3. Richardson Could Spend A Little
I was working the NALEO forum in Orlando for Edwards. Hillary had a big crowd there. Obama had a big crowd there. Edwards had a big crowd there.

I was in the rotunda where the candidates not under Secret Service protection walked through to go from the entry to their "green rooms." Dodd walked through alone (a few guys with him who were obviously campaign workers). Same thing with Richardson.

I thought Richardson was more of a player. I mean, a Hispanic candidate attends a Hispanic conference in a city with a large Hispanic population* and no one could organize his supporters to come out and cheer?

* I realize Richardson is of Mexican descent and most of Orlando's Hispanic population is Puerto Rican. I also realize that matters to a lot of people.

** Please don't chastise me as racist for pointing out the Hispanic factor. I am no worse than many media pundits who talk about how much support Hillary has with women and how Obama polls with African-Americans. Although the support is not unanimous, these candidates do poll well with their respective constituencies.
