342. I think there is no outrage at Armitage
Edited on Mon Jul-02-07 07:59 PM by creeksneakers2
because its believed that Armitage was just a gossip and wasn't part of the effort to destroy every critic and punish every questioner. Its not just the outing of the agent, its the system that lied us into war and how it operated. I still think Armitage, Libby and Rove all should have been tried for releasing classified information.

Libby did not forget. Libby used that defense and it was overcome by mountains of evidence. A jury decided this, and took a great deal of time deliberating to make sure they got the right verdict.

Why would anybody go into public service? It takes an enormous ego. Your private life will be pried apart. No matter how hard you work for the public, most of them will say you are a dirty politician and a crook. The ego overcomes this, as most people in politics believe that they alone have a lock on the truth and they are heroes for protecting America.
