9. LOL, I guess this story went international!
SNIPPED FROM ANOTHER ARTICLE:

Then came a local news story, followed by a wire-service story, followed by national news stories, followed by blog and message-board posts, and radio and TV segments, and on and on - until by Monday evening the second-most popular story on CNN.com was an article about the controversy titled "Peace on earth? Not in our subdivision!"

"It's a ... wreath that says nothing but a wish for peace," Lilly said. "And people have taken it, and they're going to use it as their shield and their sword. And they're going to fight all kinds of battles."

Jensen said she had been receiving about 20 phone calls an hour about the wreath, both from media outlets and from people offering support or donations to help her pay the $25-a- day fine the homeowners association has levied for her leaving the wreath up.

Kearns, reached Monday, also said he had received numerous phone calls. He said he was consulting an attorney and didn't want to comment on the controversy because everything he has said up to this point has been twisted in the media.

"This thing has mushroomed," Kearns said. "It's really gotten out of control."

Continuing to escalate

The situation continued to escalate - even affecting people who have nothing to do with the controversy. Monday morning, Pagosa Springs town-hall officials received an e-mail that asked, "What kind of little Nazis does your town grow?"

That prompted town manager Mark Garcia to change the southwestern Colorado town's website, clarifying that the town doesn't have any authority over the homeowners association and that the subdivision isn't even within the town's limits.

"The town wholly supports their peace-sign display and also wishes for peace on earth," the message concludes.

Yep, that was another place I emailed, the City of Pagosa Springs, but I was not the one with the "Nazi" message. And, I did call Lisa Jensen and I did leave a message of support on her answer phone ~~ I told her to look on the DU to see others who were solidly behind her and that some had posted on getting a fund started to pay the fine.

And to Mr. Kearns ~~ if you are reading on here: IMO, you are giving out total and complete bullshit. There was NO misunderstanding and NO one twisted anything. IMO, the only thing which has anything to do with "twisted" is your freaking pea brain!
