54. Buffalo needed the federal help
"I don't get it. Buffalo gets a ton of snow and the Govt' authorize millions of dollars in federal disaster aid for the area- for what? Just for political reasons? what a waste of my tax dollars? Can we check past snow storms to see if Buffalo got money in the past? (I'm from NY)"

I live in the area that was hardest hit. I was 10 days without power. The problem wasn't the snow, it was the trees. The weight of that snow brought down numerous tree limbs with the leaves still on them. The cleanup was massive, well beyond any of our local governments. The storm was October 12-13, they just cleared the branches from in front of my house yesterday. We can handle snow in Buffalo, we just can't handle trees & snow clogging the streets.

That storm was a gift from God for Reynolds. His poll numbers started heading upward once that storm hit. Of course, there were so many people without power and phones, I'm wondering who they called.
