I think the polls are underestimating the Democrats' strength.

For one thing, Republican turnout will surely be diminished, especially among evangelicals.

For another, Republicans who say they would vote Republican in a phone poll may not do so when it actually comes time to vote.

On top of that, I'll bet plenty of Republicans will vote Democrat or Independent and then tell exit polls they voted Republican.
