If the troops support Bush--applaud and adore him and yell their support for Bush, well then, I certainly cannot support the troops. If they are really fighting for Bush and seem to have no difficulty in doing so, then how can I support them?

It is inconsistent to do so. I would like to think they are all innocent pawns, but, if they are cheering and giving such unconditonal support--well hey--that's fine, but do not expect me to "support the troops" who do that. Won't and can't.
