no way to organize a protest. No need to confront your obvious distain for the whole thing by giving it a one night stand. The majority of Americans will see this not as clever but as unnecessary and a bit childish, as it is. There is no reason not to tell the world of your plans if you are the POTUS and the president has set another precedent and not a good one. This was childish and certainly done to allow him to get in and out if Iraq without confronting difficulty. Wolfowitz damn near got zapped, the UN has lost high ranking figures and I think in the end this childish cowardly act will be seen as such. Remember the trip to Nebraska right after 9/11? This is the same coward. He does not give a shit if the ‘troops’ have to face danger but he sure as shit isn’t going to do it. Rove will exhaust his spin here. Hillary let the folks know she was going and gave them what they needed to prepare an attack on her if that was their plan. In a sense Hillary said “bring em on” and Bush hid. How can you see this as clever?
Watch what the press is forced to do with this. Bush is an interminable coward and I cannot see the media trying after this groaner to defend him.
There was nothing imaginative or creative here. It was just a secret..and Bush will be fighting the secrecy issue soon. I see this as another Rovian goof..like many in the past.
This shit will ,in the end, not fly. It never has. Rove is too STUPID to see that. Rove will never admit that the only weapon he has in outmoded and soon to blow up in his face.
