31. Sadly, idiots are going to vote for him just on name recognition
Here in Illinois, before the Alan Keyes campaign comedy, I had a brief discussion about the race with a 'guy off the street' (so to speak). Without all of the details, I had just been introduced and the topic was actually small talk. It was either going to be that, or the weather. LOL!

Whether Ditka was going to jump into the race was all over the news that day. It was the same week that he was going to be meeting with GOP committee to discuss details. I asked this guy if he'd vote for Ditka. His response: "Da Coach? Hell, yes! Who wouldn't vote for Da Coach?"

His enthusiasm had nothing to do with his politics.
